After 6 months of using Onion Shampoo Bar

Today, I’ve received a message from my regular customer of Onion Shampoo Bar. I’m so happy and thankful that she is willing to share the result with me and to the extent of allowing me to post it; wherein not all customers are agreeable to do that. It is true that when we use one product it takes time to see the result, it needs patience and consistency. Her husband is using my own formulated homemade Onion Shampoo Bar for about six months now, and here is the result:

My Short Hair

When I cut several inches of my hair last year, I was feeling self-conscious about my new hairdo. “I have a 50/50 feeling that it doesn’t suit my face. I look like a guy and they will think I’m a boy:)

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

But I’ve found out there are lots of guys who’ve been into short haired chicks! When I’ve changed my profile photos on LinkedIn & Facebook I’ve got a lot of compliments and more fan and followers online. Surprisingly, guys like my new look:). So fear not to shorthaired! I actually maintained it for almost a year now and I’m loving it.

There are guys melting with short haired but there are more into traditional long haired girls. So it is actually depending on the guy’s preferences, I am not saying all of them likes it but in my experience mostly they like my short hair. They said it suits my personality very well.

Few reasons I’ve gathered from my inbox are:

It shows confidence – that I had that courage to cut my hair short. Honestly, the pixie cut is frightening and traumatic experience, but I just felt doing it for a change. And when I’m getting positive feedback I became more confident with it.

I’m different – then I stand out when grouped with ladies – all of them have similarities-long straight or curly while I’m Pixie!

Its New look – a big change to my appearance; I look younger. It’s like reinventing myself – and reinvention is sexy.

It emphasizes my beautiful features – face, eyes, hairline, neck and any stuff attached to it. “That having a short hair, you definitely has a gorgeous face and must be really pretty” 🙂

From the feedback, I would say I will keep my hair short but I would maybe change style from time to time.

Have you ever tried short hair? Have you ever wanted to but been too afraid?

Goodnight xoxo

Tricopigmentation is a technological evolution of aesthetic and paramedical micropigmentation which allows to inoculate into the superficial layer of the Dermis a specific pigment capable of altering appearance by recreating the effect of a thicker scalp. A technique which allows  customers to mask baldness (hair loss) in the most suitable way depending on the customer’s initial situation. By performing this type of treatment, the shaved effect is achieved using a microscopic deposit of pigment, in the shape of dots. The aim is to obtain a natural result.

The duration of the treatment and the number of sessionsdepend on the characteristics of the patient and of the areas that need to be treated. Since Tricopigmentation is a re-absorbable treatment, the practitioner will evaluate, together with the customer, the number of sessions for annual maintenance (touch-ups are usually performed once or twice a year) to always ensure the best result.

By choice or necessity, Tricopigmentation with shaved effect aims at reconstructing completely the scalp with a “shaved look”.

  • Scalp reconstruction
  • Density improvement
  • Restoration of proportions
  • Shaved Effect on longer hair

The density effect allows the patient to have

a thicker look and better coverage even in case of long hair.

  • It reduces transparency.
  • It reduces dyscromia.
  • It increases thickening.
  • It helps avoiding camouflaging products.

Used to camouflage scars caused by surgery procedures,

hair transplant (FUE and STRIP) or accidental injury.

  • Post surgery scars.
  • Post trauma scars.
  • It limits the pink effect.
  • Treatable after evaluation.

It is not painful – in most cases Tricopigmentation is painless, with the aid of topical anaesthetic.

Three scheduled sessions for a dense, uniform and homogeneous effect three sessions are necessary.

A maximum of two hours duration for each session – In case of alopecia areata or totalis time is variable.

Reversibility of the treatment – It will require annual touch-ups.

The effect of Tricopigmentation lasts for about 6 to 18 months, depending on the patient, on the skin type, on the immune system, on the patient’s habits, on the applied technique, on the treated area and on the pigment.

Pain is a very subjective and personal factor. However, the use of innovative products and equipment reduces pain and usually patients feel just a light bother.

The first tricopigmentation session lasts on the average about three hours and the second one about two hours. This depends on the area and on the scalp skin quality we are treating.

The time required by the dermis for the initial healing is about 24 hours. Once the excess of pigment is expelled we can carry out the second session successfully.

The drawing of the hairline, required in cases of shaved effect, is a fundamental phase of the treatment. The aim is to find a balance between the patient’s requests and the practitioner’s experience and aesthetic taste. Several factors have to be taken into consideration when reconstructing the hairline of the patient, such as age, morphological features, etc.

It is advisable to shave your hair (on average 1 mm) at least 24 hours before the procedure. If the scalp is irritated, there might be more blood on the surface and this may represent an obstacle to the correct pigment stabilization.

At least 4 days before the procedure customers must stop using any topical drugs (Minoxidil, Locoidon, Scalpicin, Antiandrogens etc.) and any systemic drugs that may fluidify blood.

During and after all tricopigmentation sessions patients must avoid washing their scalp, with or without shampoo for at least 3 consecutive days. After the treatment. You can moisturize with warm wet clean cotton.

In the immediate pre treatment do not take alcohol, not even in small quantities.

Cheers xoxo

Acne Treatments Take Eight to 12 Weeks to Start Working

We all want our skin to clear up quickly, and we want our acne treatment to start working right away.  So it’s frustrating when it seems like our acne medications aren’t doing anything to help our skin.

Does this mean your acne treatment isn’t working? Not at all!

It takes at least eight weeks before you really start to notice a difference in your skin, and that improvement can often take as long as 12 weeks. This is assuming, of course, that you are using your treatments consistently.

Even something as seemingly simple as forgetting your treatments for a day or two can prevent them from working well. For the medications to work, they have to be used exactly as directed.

You’ll Still Get Pimples During the Initial Weeks of Treatment

Many people expect pimples will stop forming immediately after beginning treatment. In reality, you will still get new breakouts even after beginning treatment for a period of time.

This doesn’t mean your treatment isn’t effective.  These pimples were already in the works below the surface of your skin before you started your treatment.

Over time, you’ll probably notice your breakouts are getting smaller and healing more quickly. This is a sign that your treatments are starting to work.

It may even seem like your skin breaks out worse before it starts to get better.  Again, these are blemishes that were already forming within the pore.

Please message me if you want to know more about Acne treatment

Stay younger looking by exfoliating regularly!

Exfoliation of the skin reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles, rids skin of dead cells and keeps pores clean and clear so skin stays soft and supple, fresh and radiant!

There are two types of exfoliants: the chemical and mechanical.

Chemical exfoliants dissolve the “glue” that trap dead skin cells in pores and to the surface layers of the skin. By dissolving this glue the dead skin and cellular debris are shed revealing younger skin and a smoother, healthier complexion underneath. Some examples of Chemical exfoliants include salicylic acid, glycolic acid, fruit enzymes, citric acid or malic acid. These Chemical exfoliants may be applied in high concentrations by a medical professional, it is not advisable to do it at home without the supervision of professional.

Mechanical exfoliants work by gently buffing away surface skin cells which encourages new skin cells to surface at a more rapid rate. Dead skin cells are swept away and fine lines are minimized, pores are cleared and newer skin is revealed. Microdermabrasion is an example of mechanical exfoliation.

In some cases, I use a combination of both types during treatments.

By exfoliating on a regular basis, you are encouraging your skin to regenerate at a faster rate, thereby increasing cellular turnover which will help improve firmness, texture, skin tone, and help support healthy collagen for a more youthful and radiant glow!

Have a glowing day ahead 🙂

Your skin is made up of two main layers. The epidermis is the layer closest to your environment and surroundings, and the dermis, which is underneath the epidermis.

However, there is a topmost layer called the stratum corneum, which acts as a sort of shield between your skin and your surroundings. It keeps most molecules from getting through. This is where most minor skin imperfections are located.

Microdermabrasion is mostly used on your skin’s topmost layer. Going any deeper into the skin’s layers can damage and cause permanent effects on your skin.

Microdermabrasion will cleanse your skin deeply. You may think that your skin is clean enough, because you wash your face twice a day with facial cream or your pores don’t secrete oil, but you are quite mistaken.

There is a proven fact about skin care that over-washing your face – even twice a day, leaving your face feeling refreshed and tight, can strip your face of its natural oils and causing irritation and dehydration.

Fortunately, microdermabrasion is an effective, non-chemical and non-surgical treatment. It is one of the lesser-aggressive skin treatments that can reduce minor skin imperfections, such as fine lines, mild acne and an uneven skin tone.
